Setting You Up for Success: Implementing whistleblowing

Implementing whistleblowing procedures and promoting them effectively are key features of good governance and healthy organisational culture.

When it comes to implementing whistleblowing policies and speak up procedures, having good systems and processes in place is important.

However, it is equally as important that your people are engaged and understand their role in your organisation’s whistleblowing arrangements.

We can support you in developing your managers so they have the knowledge and confidence to support employees who speak up about concerns and your organisation’s whistleblowing procedure.

The Setting You Up for Success workshop helps your organisation embed good whistleblowing arrangements and offers advice on how to engage stakeholders involved in internal whistleblowing processes; ensuring a clear understanding of their legal obligations and the importance of whistleblowing.

What does the course cover?

  • What is whistleblowing and what are your organisation’s legal obligations?
  • The benefits of whistleblowing
  • What do ‘good’ whistleblowing arrangements look like and how might you improve whistleblowing arrangements in your organisation?

Who is this course for?

This course centres on implementing whistleblowing throughout an organisation, so is suitable for key stakeholders who have a role in making or promoting whistleblowing arrangements internally.

This includes:

  • Representatives from HR or Compliance teams
  • Whistleblowing champions
  • Directors
  • Senior management and leaders
  • People managers
  • Incident/report managers
  • Internal investigators
  • Employee representatives.

How long is the training course and how is it delivered?

This is a one-hour workshop, hosted on Microsoft Teams.

All our sessions are interactive and include case studies to give attendees a real-world insight into implementing whistleblowing and the challenges both organisations and whistleblowers face.

There will be opportunities to share good practice with other delegates and our trainers are happy to share their expertise and answer any questions you may have.

The session facilitates shared understanding and discussion about whistleblowing within an organisation. Therefore, we recommend one group session for up to 10 participants from a single organisation. However, seats for open sessions may be purchased separately.
